In this movie, Mike is faced with his toughest challenge yet when he is accused of attempting to assassinate the President of the United States during a routine visit to a fishing village. In the aftermath of the attack, Mike finds himself on the run from his own agency and the FBI, and must fight to clear his name while also protecting the President from a new wave of attacks by a mysterious group of mercenaries. As Mike races against time to uncover the truth behind the assassination attempt, he is forced to confront his own demons and the difficult choices he has made throughout his career as a Secret Service agent. Along the way, he receives help from an unlikely ally in the form of his estranged father, played by Nick Nolte. The action in "Angel Has Fallen" is non-stop, with car chases, gun battles, and explosions galore. But the movie also has a heart, thanks to the strong performances by Butler and Nolte, whose relationship as father and son is the emotional core of the film. Frederick Schmidt is also a standout as the lead villain, and Danny Huston shines as the Vice President, who is thrust into the role of acting President when the real President is incapacitated. One of the strengths of "Angel Has Fallen" is its attention to detail when it comes to the intricacies of the Secret Service and the protocols involved in protecting the President.
