The path to the big stage often starts somewhere smaller, and Edinburgh Festival Fringe has proved to be an important incubator for theatre and comedy shows that end up on the West End, Off-Broadway, and even Broadway. It was fabulous to see so many shows included in awards shortlists or receiving 5 and 4 star reviews with a good number of these now looking forward to tours and additional performances across the globe. It's back, baby! The world's largest arts festival, the Edinburgh Fringe , will return to the cobbled streets of the Scottish capital in to blow out the candles for its 75th birthday. Following a Covid-enforced cancellation in and a slimline open-air edition in , the bells, whistles, costumes and comradery of the Fringe proper will once again turn Auld Reekie into one giant entertainment venue. In a little over three weeks, Edinburgh will play host to a massive shows from 58 countries across comedy, theater, dance, cabaret, music and near-enough anything loosely described as art and entertainment.
