That could sound quite obvious, we know, but when you realized that you had tried Asian, Indian, Latin but not Canadian food like I did, there you see the need to visit a place like Flapjack's Canadian Diner. This place is the authentic Canadian style from start to finish or from the walls to the food! In fact, Flapjack's began with the idea of bringing to the Capital Canadian traditional comfort foods through a creative and delicious platform. Parked in a wood fitted truck with wooden tree trunk outdoor seating, we got to work serving our specialties of Pancakes and Panwiches. This delicious idea is now a well-known restaurant that has an extensive menu including our personal favorite, the Classic Breakfast Panwich.

The pancakes are not gluten free. Please remove this from find me gluten free. They use regular oats, on the same grill. When I went they recommend I not eat anything. I appreciated the honesty. Gluten free pancakes consisted of basically baked oatmeal cakes. Crunchy on the outside and mushy on the inside. Did not finish my meal. Had to pay before we even got our food and took forever for it to come. Husband said that even the regular pancakes were bad. Write a Review. Reported NOT to have a gluten-free menu.

In ! A few freezing cold winters later and frostbite, but it was all worth it. Big learning curve. Everyday, we are still learning and always doing our best to improve and adapt as the environment around us changes! A learning curve indeed but a fun one at that! I am genuinely proud everyday to be a Canadian.

Great diner in the Little Italy area. They have pretty much anything that you would find at a typical diner. Good hot chocolate and nice variety of pancakes. I ordered the ones with vanilla icing sugar on top and they were top-notch. Looking forward to returning and trying another item!
