Like many other players of Final Fantasy XIV , I can personally attest that it took me quite some time to understand the full appeal of the game. In practice, I think it points more abstractly towards the value Final Fantasy XIV players see in the glamour system — as a tool for making their characters who they want them to be and strengthening the link between character and player.
