I seem to recall they once featured a G series with a rotary engine swap. The rationale being the flat six went pop and was too expensive to rebuild. Anyone else remember the article? Or did I just imagine this scenario? I definitely remember it. Used to hunt it down every month and devour the content.

Originally known as Fast Fours and Rotaries, this magazine has a reputation of being one of the better magazines for small cars in Australia. Occasionally some good technical articles, although the focus seems to have shifted over the years. There are many interesting issues, far too many to list here. This magazine started in April , by Julian Edgar who used to write many technical articles for Fast Fours and Rotaries, however he has since left the magazine and started a web based magazine - see below. This magazine has very good, "hands on" technical articles, however a bit more technical detail like the US "turbo" magazine would make it nearly perfect. Despite an extensive web search March I could find no official Zoom page. There is another magazine published by 'Express Publications' along with Zoom. If you like the technical oriented style of my site you'll love Autospeed.

Several years ago there was a short article eluding to the existence of Wankel Rotaries made by Lada published in Fast Fours and Rotaries magazine. Since reading this article I found additional information on the Internet and have sourced a few pictures and tables of various engines produced. See below. The first rotary car was made in - a single rotor powered Lada sedan based on a licensed Fiat design. I understand that at least 8 different models of Lada sedan have been converted to rotary power and around 20 different variants of engine produced of 1, 2, 3 and reportedly 4 rotors.
