Later in the film, when Credence has his own violent outbreak brought on by his Obscurus, Scamander manages to convince him that all the destruction he is causing is unnecessary. We briefly see Credence revert from his Obscurial form to his human form, suggesting that he is capable of ridding himself of the Obscurus altogether.
