The console is a debugging tool in the Windows version of Fallout 4. It is useful for altering content while in-game, but may be used to cheat as well. It cannot be accessed in the console versions of the game or in Survival mode. Should this for some reason not work, you can always set your keyboard's language layout to US in the Windows control panel. After restarting Fallout 4 pressing the equivalent button from above will open the console. In order to access the console, you will need to use the key appropriate for your language as shown in the list of console keys. The HUD will disappear and you will get a prompt in the lower-left corner of the screen where you can input commands as listed below The console will also remember any previously entered commands, which you can scroll through with the Up and Down Arrow keys. While the console is open, the game will pause and the camera will freeze. Increasing the iConsoleTextXPos variable will move the prompt further right into the field of view. If you are using a controller, simply use your keyboard to enable the console. Targeted commands will require a reference as target usually entered before the actual command, as noted by the separating dot in between.

The wasteland is a dangerous place, and Fallout 4 cheats can help you stay alive in the world of glow-in-the-dark radroaches. Whether you're emerging into the bright sun of the world outside Vault for the first time — late to the party — or you're coming back to the nuclear wastes for a visit while waiting for Fallout 5 , it's critical to have control over your game. With how complicated Fallout 4 can be, from factions like the Brotherhood and the Minutemen to the complex settlement system, you're sure to need a helping hand to untangle a mess you've made for yourself. Or maybe you're just a nuclear auteur who wants finesse over how your post-apocalyptic journey will go, making sure that you've got just enough Stimpacks for the next encounter, advancing time to the golden hour or going into free-cam mode for screenshots. No matter what the reason you cheat, we don't judge your decisions, we're just here to help you live out your dreams. Thankfully, those dreams can come true, since unlike cheating in Fallout 76 nobody is there to stop you. The rest is all between you and your Pip-Boy.

Looking for Fallout 4 cheats and console commands? These are a great way of bringing a little order to Boston's nuclear wasteland—well, maybe not order per se, but they can certainly give you a bit more control over the game. Perhaps you want to nab a nice screenshot and need to move the camera to get the best angle, or maybe you want to move yourself through teleportation. Then there's the slightly more noble action of bringing NPCs back to life. Whatever the reason for using them, Fallout 4 cheats make the post-apocalyptic world your oyster. Simply activate the console, type in the command, hit Enter and close the console and watch as the cheat takes effect. It's worth noting that the tilde key might not work, depending on your keyboards regional settings—in which case, try the apostrophe key instead. Now, with all the technical stuff out of the way, here's a list of all the Fallout 4 cheats and console commands. A few of the cheats below will require you to know the game's ID number for specific items.
