The bay is so beautiful in the dark, and kayaking there through the mangrove channel is unforgettable. These guys are very professional, focused on safety, helpful and nice. They are very knowledgable about wildlife and about bioluminescence of the laguna. As inexperienced kayakers, we felt confident getting into the water, that if anything were to go wrong, it would easily be fixed! It was a clear night, we saw so many stars, and although we visited at a time when the glow wasn't as bright as it can be, we still got to see some definite glow!

The Fajardo Bio Bay is perfect for watching the stars too. Not recommended for guests who may be prone to anxiety while on crowded and reduced spaces. They are very knowledgable about wildlife and about bioluminescence of the laguna. There are changing rooms, but they are public restrooms in the park nearby. Made for some good laughs. Paddle the lights! In the sky… and in the water too. I highly recommend this group if you're a beginner kayaker and are interested in experiencing the bio bay. The driving distance from the San Juan Metro Area is one hour. We also recommend that you use a leash to attach it to your life vest. We were informed beforehand that the bioluminescent effect may not be as vibrant as the summer months and unfortunately this was the case but the experience was still very enjoyable.
