A week after a great race weekend with perfect entertainment which witnessed a lot of spectacles with rain and all the turnarounds at the street circuit of Monaco, all the F1 fans will be back for the second European race of the season. Being one of the oldest races in the championship, the Spanish Grand Prix is a Formula 1 race that has been held annually in Spain since at The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya which is located in Montmelo, Catalonia region of Spain. It is a well-known track that is often used for Formula 1 pre-season testing due to its technical layout and various corner types.

We bring you the highlights of the qualifying session valid for the Hungarian Grand Prix, the third round of this Formula 1 world championship. After the splendid performance shown in Styria, Lewis Hamilton he confirmed his lead in the standings, taking the seventh pole position on the Hungaroring track in Hungary. Oscar Piastri had been in the hunt for a maiden F1 pole but dropped down the timesheets during the final laps, leaving him eighth on the grid in front of Leclerc and Sargeant, who watched the rest of Q3 from the sidelines after their shunts. Yuki Tsunoda followed in 14th, with stewards set to investigate a potential impeding incident between the AlphaTauri man and Hamilton after the session, while Nico Hulkenberg was the slowest of the Q2 runners en route to 15th. Alfa Romeo lost both cars at the first qualifying hurdle as Zhou Guanyu, having spun out of FP3 earlier in the day, narrowly missed the cut in 16th via a slide through the penultimate corner, with team mate Bottas all the way back in 19th. Esteban Ocon was a lowly 17th in the other Alpine, having lost out with the timing of his final run, while Haas driver Kevin Magnussen, who had a crash of his own in final practice, went too deep at Turn 1 on his final run and wound up 18th. Liam Lawson marked his first qualifying session with 20th and last, a second adrift of the pack, after the young New Zealander was thrown in at the deep end as the replacement for the injured Daniel Ricciardo with just one practice hour in wet conditions. Max Verstappen enjoyed a stellar run through qualifying. After a dry start to the weekend at Zandvoort, the heavens opened and drenched the circuit on Saturday morning to deliver a wet and wild final practice session, with slippery conditions sticking around for the start of qualifying — albeit the sun now breaking through the clouds. As Q1 got under way, intermediates were the tyre of choice to deal with the sodden track surface, leading to a flurry of early laps as drivers built up confidence and attempted to post some banker laps in the event of further showers hitting the venue.

Sergio Perez took pole position for the Miami Grand Prix after a dramatic conclusion to Q3, which saw Max Verstappen qualify ninth as Charles Leclerc spun out to bring out a red flag. The top shootout saw seven teams represented and, while Verstappen had topped the first two qualifying segments, he aborted his first lap with a snap at Turn 5. Conditions were tough in the final session as winds had picked up. Perez took provisional pole in Q3 with a time of 1m The reigning champion equipped new tyres and emerged with just over three minutes left in an effort to make it up from P However, Leclerc lost his car at Turn 4 and spun into the barriers, bringing out a red flag and ending qualifying early. As for Verstappen he qualified ninth ahead of Valtteri Bottas — neither driver having set a flying lap in Q3. Alex Albon qualified 11th overall for Williams while Nico Hulkenberg was left 12th for Haas despite a promising Q1 performance. Lewis Hamilton suffered his worst qualifying performance in the United States and first Q2 elimination since Monza last year with P13, having struggled through Sector 1 in the second segment of qualifying. Sergio Perez benefitted from Charles Leclerc's crash to take pole position.
