Hello, everyone! Some other people in the fandom have done some of these with Edward or another character , so I decided to go ahead myself and do one talking about Edward and his run during the show, judging from my own point of view off course, but still keeping respectful of others' opinions. Now, what are my general thoughts on Edward the Blue Engine? Edward is my second favourite character in Thomas, so I really like him because of that. He is old and wise, willing to help those around him whenever they may need it. However, as much as I love Edward, I must admit that he went through some tough luck over the years with how he was treated overall. The Classic Era S1-S5 :. In season six, Edward began to be used more once again. He was given a leading role in Edward the Very Useful Engine. So, we now get to the era that Edward undoubtedly changed the most, and for the worst too.

Edward was eventually let out again and proved that what he lacked in strength, he made up for in work by pushing a stubborn Gordon and his heavy goods train up the hill.
