Draw an oc
As the title suggests, in this thread you have to draw the OC of the person above you in order to get your own OC drawn by someone else, draw an oc. Then see who pics up the challenge.
I have been drawing my OC's for a long time, and I'm quite enjoying it. When I was searching on the internet, especially DA, I saw a lot of fan arts and drawings based on a mainstream style. You know those Sonic style, Steven Universe styles, Eddsworld style, anime style and whatnot? And because of this, I planned on drawing a fan art so that I might try drawing other characters and see if it's my thing. I was kinda good at drawing cartoon-based fan art.

Yea Yea, but this wouldn't be a step by step 'tutorial' if I didn't include the most important part, would it? Anyways, start out with a circle. Very educational, right? Everyone has their own way of drawing heads so go on. Draw your version of a head. The circles placed randomly and the random short line are actually adaptations from my elementary school art teacher Mrs. I don't remember.. The circles represent the future joints of the body. The 'random' little sideways mark is there to mark the heel of the foot. And the rectanglish boxes mark the chest and lower section. Make sure to sketch lightly, or you'll regret it!

Creating your first original character is an extremely personal and powerful experience. It can be a ton of fun while letting you learn a lot about yourself and what sparks your creativity. You can then open the door to exploring character art, roleplay, and other fun interactions with your OCs!
You literally finish the face, pick your color palette, and start to color! I love the hair! I love it! I only draw fanart when it's something I am really into - but I always, always prioritise my own original work. I throw a couple of fanarts every now and then but I'm drawing it in my own style. In this part, you erase the sketchy sketchy circles and boxes, add in a little detail to the knees and neck, go ahead and draw your ocs outfit! You have experimented before, and this lead to your rich art today! Starfestival UTC Moi UTC I recommend using colored pencils versus water coloring and Crayons because you have more control with them then water colors, and it doesn't look so neat with Crayons. There you go. And to be honest, I was so bad at drawing anime characters! So you might see a lot of artists saying fan art is good and talking about the ways it can grow your art and audience, to fight against that attitude -- but that doesn't mean that NOT drawing fan art is bad.
