The world of Dragon: Age Origins has a variety of different characters to get to know, such as the grey warden and possible king, Alistair. One of the more interesting and mysterious characters who are central to the game's plot is the Witch of the Wilds, Morrigan. She joins the party after they narrowly survive the Battle of Ostagar. And like many of the more fleshed-out party members, she can be romanced. Romancing can be a bit complicated when compared to romance in Inquisition , so this guide will help out with romancing Morrigan. It should be noted that only male wardens can romance Morrigan so female wardens will, unfortunately, have to look elsewhere. The game lives up to Bioware's reputation of creating memorable characters, one of which is the witch known as Morrigan.

Many fear change and will fight it with every fiber of their being. But sometimes, change is what they need the most. Sometimes, change is what sets them free. Morrigan is the daughter of Flemeth , the legendary Witch of the Wilds who has reputedly given birth to scores of daughters and has lived for centuries, though Morrigan is unwilling or unable to confirm Flemeth's true origins. Whatever Flemeth's history, Morrigan was raised by her in isolation from civilization. Flemeth instilled a distrust of humankind in Morrigan, strictly forbidding her from venturing out into settlements. As such, Morrigan sought solace among nature and the animals of the Korcari Wilds, into whose forms she would often shapeshift. Starting in Dragon , when she was seen observing a group of Avvar hunters from afar, Morrigan was spotted several times in the towns and villages near the Korcari Wilds; she would pick out a local who drew her interest and then question them until she drew too much attention or lost interest. Morrigan would sometimes use her exploration of civilization to learn about social etiquette but was inundated by the subject and eventually lost interest. After giving up on trying to understand human society, Morrigan returned to the Wilds and swore to Flemeth that she was never leaving again.

Morrigan also appears in Dragon Age: Inquisition as a supporting character. She is voiced by Claudia Black. Morrigan has been very well received; she is considered one of the most popular and recognizable characters in the Dragon Age series. The character was featured prominently in promotional material and advertisements released by Bioware's parent company EA leading up to the release of Dragon Age: Origins and teasing her return in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Out of all the companions and characters in Dragon Age , none can inspire mystery as much as Morrigan. Previously known as the Witch of the Wilds in Dragon Age: Origins, she's leveled up and now goes by the Scornful Sorceress with her main job as a royal adviser for the court of Orlais. Despite all that fame, however, Morrigan remains a secretive figure. Most Dragon Age fans who have played since Origins are still wondering right now what will become of her or what she's up to in the grand scheme of things. Suffice to say, there are many things about Morrigan you probably missed. She's one of the most complex characters in Dragon Age, after all, so to understand her better or raise more questions about her then these facts ought to help.
