As I said earlier, Undead can take advantage of lifesteal. Especially at level 10 when your invocation becomes a champion. You say its role is to stay in the front and to fight front-to-back but you usually want to group up enemies using spells and positioning and then to "engage well" but isnt that what every character should do?
