Denon avr-x4800h review
Denon has always strived to produce a range of AV receivers and amplifiers that offer affordable pricing and comprehensive features. Denon has even managed to add some new features for this generation. The XH includes nine channels of built-in amplification, but is able to process up to an Those nine channels of built-in amplification we mentioned mean that you can run a 5. The amp can actually process up to Having said that, nine channels and up to four subs should be more than enough for most people. Dolby Atmos is the dominant format, and is used on Blu-rays, 4K discs, most streaming services, and even some music streamers. The X uses a mono power block amplifier construction, and can drive nine channels with a claimed W in 8ohms. While hardly a beast, the Denon delivered a powerful and controlled performance that could go loud without ever sounding strained or distorted, even when all the channels were being driven. There are more powerful options, but this amp is more than sufficient for most rooms… unless you want your neighbours to take out a restraining order. The stereo imaging is excellent, with clearly defined vocals and instruments placed with precision across the soundstage, while the overall delivery is lively and fun. Speaking of which, the ability to connect up to four subs is a welcome addition. The room correction can help in this regard, but the more issues you can address through correct placement of multiple subs, the less the EQ has to do. The result of all this is a wonderfully cohesive soundstage where dialogue, music, sound effects and bass are all reproduced with consummate skill. While any surround mix will sound fantastic, an immersive format like Dolby Atmos is stunning thanks to its object-based spatial delivery.
If you really want to push the home theatre boat out, you could add an additional stereo amplifier to your stack and add two more channels high or to the rear.

Although summer was a time most of us would like to forget, one of the bright spots audio wise at least was Denon's release of the worlds first 8K ready AV receivers. Gamers will love the Hz refresh rate along with other features to reduce lag time. In Denon hedged their bets that audioholics would be spending more time at home, in front of the TV, and made their receivers heavy on the visual side of new improvements. We agreed and thought that other AV receiver companies would follow suit. Shortly after, Marantz released their own 8K receivers and we're seeing the trend continuing through today with Arcam releasing an 8K receiver in August, Now, Denon is ahead of the competition again in , releasing SEVEN new 8K AV receivers with enhancements we think will define what we see from other audio companies in the near future. With our new lineup, Denon has an AVR that is perfect for every consumer and each unique application. Leveraging our brand heritage as an industry leader in both home theater and Hi-Fi, Denon has achieved a level of performance, build quality and overall value that simply cannot be matched. By the numbers, the AVR-A1H is rated to fill large rooms with 3D sound, but the most intriguing features might get overlooked by a cursory glace at the specifications. This receiver looks to be a beast tipping the scale at 70lbs.

I was tired of work arounds for security protocols and was waiting for the new HDMI 2. After completed, turns out there were 2 firmware updates required, after which ARC connection worked As standard, the same LFE output is sent to all connected subwoofers.
