Pros: Most of the stories tend to range from average to above average. The Bugs Bunny story is hilarious and full of meta comedy. The Batman story is an incredible comic and nearly makes the collection worth it on its own. Overall: This is a solid collection of comics where nearly every story ends up being a remarkably entertaining adventure. The comics collected here all have the same wonderful level of humor that one would expect from Looney Tunes, allowing the stories to detail a way range of bizarre adventures. A few of the comics also have a surprising level of emotion and meaning, enough to rival many more mainstream works. All in all, anyone familiar with Looney Tunes characters should consider reading this collection. DC Meets Looney Tunes is a bit different than most comic collections out there. Instead of telling a singular narrative, where each issue continues the story from the last, DC Meets Looney Tunes collects six one-shot comics that all exist independent of each other. Because of this, this review will consist of six shorter reviews covering each one-shot.

And finally, Daffy Duck meets the Joker in a story which really captures how dethpicable Daffy can be, but could have been even better had a less nineties artist than Brett Booth drawn it. Join the discussion. Sylvester breaks into Granny's apartment to try to get Tweety, while Catwoman breaks in to steal Granny's pearls in this slapstick homage to Looney Tunes cartoons. Were he something more along the lines of Batman Animated Series Joker he could be a great fit, but with this you're just left with Daffy getting involved with a genuine psychopath who threatens to murder him at every turn. Unfortunately, this item is no longer available for purchase. Crazy, funny, and everything this series was meant to be. I was so glad to get the opportunity to read it in digital. This collection doesn't exist. Fortunately, they've not yet advanced to the point of withdrawing singles from Comixology though a few books of late have had sneaky edits, not least the infamous Batwang itself , so I was still able to read what it would have contained. Sylvester and Tweety meeting Catwoman is a bit of a weak link, despite being written by Gail Simone — it attempts to put a mythic dimension on their eternal battle, which could have worked, but gets drowned in stakes too silly even for a project like this, and a glut of guest stars. Similarly, Daffy Duck and Joker don't at all seem like a good fit. You know, if it existed. It felt like the first set was taken seriously with real craft and effort and this one was more of a cash grab without nearly as much thought put into it. Monsters meet the most interesting people, and when Harley Quinn meets Gossamer, it's love at first huge, red, hairy sight. JavaScript seems to be disabled in your browser.
