The movie begins by introducing us to Adam Mitchell, who is a law enforcement officer, but as a father, he realizes he has failed to devote enough quality time to his son. He takes up a resolution to honor God and become a better father. Soon after, tragedy strikes, and Adam's life is turned upside down, leading him to question his faith and his ability to be the good father he aspires to be. The movie takes its viewers through the challenges he faces, including dealing with issues of race, temptation, and the emotional toll that his job takes. At the same time, Nathan Hayes, another police officer in the group, is a man of faith, who balances his job and fatherhood exceptionally well.
