The new F-Max Airspeed collection builds upon the initial release from and, as the name suggests, centres around providing lightweight options to give maximum ball speed, distance and forgiveness to golfers with slower swing speeds. Available from January 24th , the range consists of drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons for both men and women, and items can be purchased separately or as part of a complete set. Heading up the range are the new and improved Airspeed Drivers, which have been re-engineered with new technologies geared towards weight-saving. The old titanium crown has been replaced with a carbon fibre one, saving 10 grams of weight which is in turn re-distributed low and back in the clubhead, providing better launch and maximum forgiveness. An Airspeed shaft, which is five grams lighter and a 6 gram lighter Lamkin midsize grip brings the overall weight down to just grams. The Drivers utilise a new PWR Ridge design on the crown, which carry the dual benefit of improved aerodynamics and assistance with proper alignment. If you struggle with a slice, then this club may be for you. There's internal weighting placed closer to the heel, aswell as an offset hosel design, which help with higher trajectories and straighter ball flights. For men, the driver is available in The women's driver is available in an offset model only, with The Fairways enjoy many of the same weight-saving methods as the driver, including a new lightweight carbon crown, and lighter Airspeed shaft.

Eldrick Woods once famously told us Father Time is undefeated. However, it was Dylan Thomas who implored golfers to rage, rage against the dying of the light. The theory, of course, is the lighter the club, the faster you should be able to swing it with the same overall effort, which should result in more distance. The hosels are shorter in the long irons, effectively lowering CG to make them easier to get up in the air, and gradually get longer through mid-irons and wedges for more control and flatter trajectory. And to continue the broken record — AIRSPEED features a low-profile shape with a deep undercut cavity for higher launch and balls speeds and, of course, distance. Oh, and the lofts are strong. The AIRSPEED hybrid story is pretty much the same thing only different: light, light and more light for the golfer who needs help getting the ball up in the air and in the general direction of the green.
The Cobra F-Max Airspeed Irons were released early in with the promise of being the lightest-ever the manufacturer has produced. Cobra Golf introduced the F-Max design for the first time in and the new Airspeed version is the latest generation with the irons joined my a new driver , woods and hybrids. Cobra have made the F-Max irons lighter than the previous design to help produce great speed through the air and increase distance on shots across the iron range. Take your game to new heights literally with technologies designed to promote easy launch and forgiveness for moderate swing speeds. Best suited to golfers with a moderate swing speed, the weight saving includes a lightweight grip that helps generate better control and feel than ever before in a Cobra iron. Work has also been undertaken to offer more forgiveness than ever before thanks to an undercut cavity, weight low and heel-biased in the improved club head. Interestingly, there are shorter hosels in the longer irons to help provide higher launch angles. Cobra claim that the resulting performance of the irons, which are available in both steel and graphite, sees optimal ball flights produced, increased carry and overall distance and straight ball striking for an improved performance all round. There is an awful lot to like about the F-Max Airspeed irons, not least because of the attractive look that Cobra have come up with.
