Warning: There are some serious spoilers ahead for this game! Stop reading now if you don't want to hear any. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt allows three possible endings for Ciri: she can become a witcher and live her life with Geralt hunting down monsters; she can become Empress and rule over Nilfgaard; or she can lost her life to the White Frost. While the last ending is obviously the bad ending, it's hotly contested which of the first two is better. Empress is pretty bittersweet, but it is her birthright — and would she really enjoy the life of a witcher? There are reasons she'd be great at either though.

Whether you're guiding Geralt through this great adventure for the first time, refreshing your memory for a new playthrough or coming back to complete an old game, you will want to make sure you finish things off with the best ending to conclude your experience. The Witcher 3 is riddled with consequential choices, all of which add up to a whopping 36 possible endgame states. Luckily, most of these are small variations of each other; there are, in fact, just three major endings. If you've somehow avoided The Witcher 3 over the last six years, this guide will contain obvious spoilers. I'd like to take this opportunity to remind you all that Yennefer is Geralt's canon romance , but the choice is yours. No matter what you do throughout the game, the epilogue mission is called Something Ends, Something Begins. The main difference between the three epilogues is Ciri's fate. Ciri dies if she feels self-doubt when she approaches her battle with the White Frost. In the epilogue mission, Geralt hunts down the Crone who escaped Ciri's wrath and retrieves her Witcher medallion. The credits roll on him sitting sadly alone, remembering her. To trigger this ending, you must make at least three out of five "negative" decisions in conversation. Here are the possibilities:. Ciri survives her encounter with the White Frost if she feels confident in herself as a worthwhile human being, and has not been enlightened about the possibility of future authority. During the epilogue, Geralt visits the Emperor and lies about Ciri's whereabouts, later meeting with her in a tavern to begin her life of adventure as a witcher.

Violating this contract and then opting to hide Ciri would probably result in an "on sight" policy between Geralt and Nilfgaard if Emhyr ever found out she was alive.

If you're looking to get the best ending in The Witcher 3 , this guide will set you on the path. There are a total of 36 possible endings in The Witcher 3, so naturally, it's subjective as to which is the "best," but there's definitely a bad outcome, and there's one that doesn't leave all of your favorite characters clawing at the mud in despair. Ciri taking up the path of a witcher is widely regarded as the "best" ending in The Witcher 3, but again, that can be a matter of perspective. There is also the matter of sorting out Geralt's love life, which has more evenly divided players into Team Yennefer or Team Triss camps. No matter how you use this guide, where you're stuck, or what "good" ending you're trying to achieve, we'll ensure you reach your ideal conclusions when playing through The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Say what you like, but Ciri would be happiest as a witcher. She loves her freedom, spends most of the game on the run but seems to do pretty well for herself and her fiery spirit makes it obvious that she doesn't love being tied to too much responsibility. Being a witcher also means she can hunt down monsters with Geralt, see Yennefer whenever she likes, and it's what she's wanted ever since she was a child.

Ciri witcher or empress

The "best" ending for Ciri has always been a subject for debate among fans of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. To be exact, there are three endings: the one where she dies, the one where she becomes a Witcher, and the one where she becomes Empress of Nilfgaard. Of course, the first is just a terrible outcome, and watching that final cutscene is absolutely heartbreaking. If you have a heart, you don't want to see the bad ending. Which means, you're probably left debating which ending is better for Ciri: Empress Ciri or the one where Ciri becomes a Witcher.

Geralt understands this, but I don't think Ciri does. For a better experience, please enable JavaScript in your browser before proceeding. We aren't choosing things for her. All trademarks are property of their respective owners in the US and other countries. This way Redania will still prevail in the war, but you won't feel that lingering guilt for letting Triss down and condemning her comrades. Ciri dies if she feels self-doubt when she approaches her battle with the White Frost. The truth is, the people would be lucky to have her as Empress but for the sake of her happiness, she's probably better off witchering. The life on the road offers freedom and adventure. This is regardless of how you accept Emhyr's proposition or whether you take the reward. Rinraiden 8 years ago 4 I dislike that getting the Bad Ending is the only way to deal with the surviving Crone. You don't need to parent perfectly through all five circumstances but tread lightly going forward and make sure you follow this section closely because you do need to make three out of five correct choices to ensure Ciri's survival. To trigger this ending, you must make at least three out of five "negative" decisions in conversation. It's no problem. Eeshaan 8 years ago

Being a ruler is busy work if you're serious about the profession—which Ciri certainly would be. While becoming a Witcher is more dangerous, it is the best outcome for Ciri since her life has prepared her for this role. I say her becoming a Witcher, throughout the novels she always dreamed of becoming a Witcher so seeing her dream come true was awesome. If you've already made a misstep or two, that's fine. If you have a heart, you don't want to see the bad ending. Evidently, the best outcome is that both sisters live through the long night and begin their reconciliation, but ensuring both royals survive without being torn apart by a vengeful vampire or stabbing the other in the back is just as difficult as it sounds. Bring Ciri to the Emperor during Blood on the Battlefield. Hopefully, the Northern Empire and the Southern Empire can develop peace as equals now. My Geralt ended up with Yennefer and they lived quite peacefully. She's already had a lot of practice fighting monsters, even going up against the Wild Hunt with Geralt, and she'd held her own against many enemies in the world. The world of a witcher is one that she chose and wanted, but she was always supposed to be the Empress and no one would ever challenge this if she came into the role. I think in the former example, you would take into account Ciri's motivations and desires while in the latter you are looking at it from the perspective of "what's best for the world". However, if you try to be direct with " Gimme the notes ," the conversation will go the same way. What this means for Nilfgaard and the Northern Kingdoms or any of the neighboring kingdoms is that Ciri is the perfect monarch.
