The first car show, Mopars on the Murray was held in Now known as Chryslers on the Murray, the show has grown to become the largest Chrysler show in the Southern Hemisphere. The first annual car show was called Mopars on the Murray and was an initiative of the Albury Wodonga Chrysler Club in A swap meet was added to the show in and has been successful in attracting specialist Chrysler vendors from across Australia. Entrants and enthusiasts alike now travel to Albury in the hope of finding that elusive part. Chryslers on the Murray continues to grow, due to it being professionally run, even though all work is carried out by volunteers. Costs are kept to a minimum through sponsorship and support from businesses and corporate partners, as well as grants and support from Local and State Government. Over the past few years, in excess of Chryslers have journeyed to the Albury-Wodonga area to celebrate the Chrysler breed, making this event the largest Chrysler show in the Southern Hemisphere.
