My wife and I have spent much of our twelve years together moving from place to place. Things like shopping, dog-walking, Netflicks binging, and dining. In Toronto we had the House of Gourmet, in Van. Originally from Northern China via a long stint in Vancouver, they decided to purchase the long-empty Greek restaurant in Campbelton a couple of years ago and have since been producing the best quality Chinese food we have eaten on Vancouver Island. Right here in Campbell River. Yes, seriously.

See All Photos. I would say this is the best Chinese restaurant in Campbell River. Every dish tasted absolutely amazing and super fresh! Needed nothing on it. Really friendly staff and prices are reasonable too. I wont go anywhere else now. I found my fav! Went for dinner on the holiday weekend and the food was delicious, good portions and excellent cocktails. Service was really personal!

Hours : 11 Ave, Campbell River Menu. I love this place! Portions are huge. Things are not too salty or oily. They are currently only doing take-out because of lack of staff which is understandable. The owner is super kind and always so hardworking. The place is clean and inviting. I will definitely be coming back lots.

The menu overall is sooo overpriced. The service is efficient and the food is served hot with a variety of vegetables, providing a satisfyingly spicy taste. We had take out last night. Basically some noodles with sauce and a few prawns. We went here for dinner on Monday night because it was supposed to be open according to Google maps, but unfortunately it was closed. I recently returned home and found my 3 orders to be the same junk I get everywhere else. Available as either a half or whole duck, back removed and de-boned to the leg, it is lightly battered and deep-fried In a wok! We were the only ones dining in so it was very laid back. See time and distance between all your places. Will stop again. See all restaurants in Campbell River. You absolutely have to try the Jiaozi dumplings.

Who knows! It tastes amazing, in the way that only a highly-trained and passionate chef can make it. So if you want to have East Indian cuisine for a meal, I recommend you give this place a try! Less prawns. High quality delicious options available. Took the fam. I understand about closing early and staff shortages but maybe try not lying to customers faces and changing your stories around to fit your narrative. Food was pretty bad, at least the special vermicelli bowl. I will return. All in all its our new go to Chinese take out. Our server Hayden was attentive and efficient despite the busyness of both the dining room and takeout counter.
