I'm becoming so frustrated with this chapter that I had to take a break from Conquest for a little while. I don't know how I'm supposed to beat this, does anyone have any tips? It's been over a year since I last played Conquest so my advice won't be that specific, but here's what I can recommend based on memory. That's the best I've got from memory. If you're on Normal, the enemy amount and levels should be manageable.

The mission Chapter Unhappy Reunion is the tenth mission in Fire Emblem: Fates, and is part of the Conquest Chapters that can only be accessed by siding with the kingdom of Nohr during the pivotal decision. Important Note: This is a defensive mission. This means you need to keep any and all enemies out of the zone at the top by any means necessary. Since you're outnumbered, don't take any risks you don't need to, and play it safe. You are free to choose your own characters and take your own path through Fire Emblem Fates, but here's what we did to beat the level on normal difficulty. With the map being a defensive one, with plenty of risk and reward, it was surmised that as long as you can push back against Hoshidan forces on all fronts, there was a chance to take the fight to them without leaving yourself open. The first round of combat is all about getting your units into position. Elise and Silas can ride off to the northwestern dock to defend the crumbling partition, while Odin and Niles move northeast towards the ballista, stopping to warn a house and gaining a Master Seal for their trouble. With a Fire Orb on your side, have Nyx control the turret and lay down a blast of fire on the Spear Fighters to the south. Azura can provide backup to Nyx, allowing her to strike at them twice.

Enemy reinforcements arrive every other turn starting on the 5th turn. The quantity and ability of enemy reinforcements escalate every wave. On the 7th turn, Takumi triggers a Dragon Vein and dries all water tiles.

At first is aggressive playing better than defense and later is the protecting more useful. On one run I was actually able to kill Takumi with Camilla but then someone got killed and I reset.
