We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come. In , the family moved to Bagley where Ed graduated from High School in In , he purchased the Peterson and Neujahr businesses and combined them to form the Cease Funeral Home. Besides offering funeral service, they operated ambulance service until , when the ambulance service was sold to M. Ed's son Wayne, graduated from the University of Minnesota in and joined his father in the funeral home operation. Later they formed a partnership and Ed retired in In , a new funeral home was built in Park Rapids, Minnesota. Kent Cease, Wayne's son, and a graduate of the University of Minnesota, became manager. Also in , a funeral home was constructed in Cass Lake, Minnesota which was operated in conjunction with the Bemidji operation.
