Camp Kidney sits just across the lake from Acorn Flats, which is home to the campsite of the all-female Squirrel Scouts which function somewhat similarly to the Girl Scouts. Camp Lazlo was produced by Cartoon Network Studios. Its style of humor is similar to the Nickelodeon series Rocko's Modern Life , which Murray also created and worked on. Skyeblazer 11 years ago 2. Rocko had a lot of liberty with the kind of jokes it told. The writers probably felt free to be who they were. But having to conform to something like Camp Lazlo, the restrictions probably hindered their creativity. That's not to say that Rocko's Modern Life was all about dirty jokes, but I think that placing limitations on a story can effect a writer's interest as much as anything else. It's just a guess.

Rocko's Modern Life is an American animated television series and was the fourth Nicktoon. The series aired from September 18 , , to November 24 , The show concentrated on the life of a wallaby named Rocko trying to survive everyday modern life in the city of O-Town. It was created by Joe Murray and based on his own childhood in Australia hence the main character being an Australian animal. The show was renowned by many as one of Nickelodeon 's freshest, most offbeat offerings, as well as being laden with suggestive double entendres. Rocko's Modern Life is perhaps most famous with today's cartoon goers and fans of the series for being the main precursor and basically, the closest relative and ancestor of SpongeBob SquarePants.

He is a steer male bovine in his mids, who is best friends with Rocko and Filburt , though he tends to fall out with the latter often. Best friend with Rocko and Filburt, Heffer was raised by wolves in O-Town, as seen by his family name, who originally were going to eat him, and thus began to fatten him up. Eventually, the family grew to love Heffer, so they instead raised him like a son, not letting him know that he was adopted until Rocko accidentally revealed the truth when the Wolfe family invited him for dinner.
