Callaway razr x driver

I must admit, when I was first asked to review this driver, I was very excited.

We love talking golf equipment here at The Hackers Paradise. Of all that equipment nothing attracts varying opinions and debate more than the driver. Equipment junkies like me and thousands of other THP members have been spoiled a bit lately. In we witnessed Callaway completely change the game with the introduction of their forged composite drivers. I always test new ones every few years with a launch monitor and the like, and never seem to see much advantage over the Burner Superfast for me.

Aimed at more casual golfers, and at a price point to match, it quickly became a firm favourite for weekend golfers the world over. So we took this driver with its sleek design and tonnes of features out to the range to give it a real test and see if it still lives up to all that promise from over a decade ago. Speaking of contact, not only is the Razr X Black Driver nice and accurate, but it is forgiving too thanks to its large sweet spot. You have two reasons as to why this is a driver that a high handicap golfer should consider when looking for an upgrade. Out on the range, some of our high handicap golfers with a more consistent swing had no problem finding the sweet spot on this driver regularly. When they did, and compared to the driver that they were regularly using in their bags, they certainly increased their range off the tee quite significantly. What immediately grabs you before you even have the Razr X Black Driver in your hands for your first swing is how awesome it looks. It feels good in your hands—really light, in fact—and after a few practice swings, everyone in the group was launching the ball with ease down the range. This is a fancy way of saying that the driver helps ensure a high launch when striking the ball but also with relatively low spin. Another key feature we found with the Razr X Black was that it cut through the air extremely effectively on a downswing, thanks to its aerodynamic design.

Firstly, it isn? The head design is more confidence inspiring than the sleek RAZR FIT, and it offers plenty of forgiveness, particularly on shots that come high and low off the face. The large head inspires confidence and the Forged Composite design provides impressive distance. Shots that slightly miss the sweet spot still fly good distances. PGA pro verdict Another super looking product from Callaway; they seem to be catching up again in the appeal factor as well as the performance. It looked really inviting at set-up, with its neutral face position and shallow crown. I even preferred it with a lower tee height, which gave a really penetrating flight. I would have no hesitation in recommending this driver to our readers. John Jacobs. Golf is his passion, when Jason is not playing golf and testing equipment he's hanging out with all his friends on the THP forum discussing every aspect of this great game. I know it was a good lightweight option. We've launched the new forums!

To all of you, let me just say this; get over your damned selves. The results of our tests suggest that the Callaway RAZR Fit Driver is both long and straight…make that really long, and really straight!

Jason is a busy husband and father of 2 daughters who are both just starting to take up the game that he has loved for years. I did not hit massive hooks with it, but if I missed it very often the ball would be in the left rough when I missed it. Notify me of follow-up comments by email. Something else this technology does is saves weight so they can move that to the perimeter of the driver to increase the MOI. THP received this driver well ahead of the release date to put it through the paces with a full review. Oh to be able to test drive this baby! This was actually quite a welcomed occurrence for me and I hope the trend continues on as I use this more as the season gets into full swing real soon. Streamlined Surface Technology creates higher impact speeds for added distance. So I'd like a driver with some flexibility that might assist in keeping a draw, while I work out the kinks with my irons. When I handed the club off to playing partners almost everyone hit the fairway and was surprised how forgiving the driver is. I know it was a good lightweight option. It does feel a bit light when you pick it up but it feels very solid when striking the ball. Of course this is easy to change but this is one small area that Callaway could change and I think it would make a big difference. Will try it tomorrow to see if it starts to chip again. Luckily their driver line is easier to keep straight than their collection of irons.
