New Delhi: It looked more like the handywork of a serial killer or could well have been a mystery murder plot of a crime series or a film. The strange deaths, first-ever kind of a crime scene, has left people in a state of shock. The deaths reported as "mass suicide" is an unusual death case - an unthinkable act as 10 of the bodies were found hanging with their eyes and mouths covered and hands tied to their back. However, the cops later found two handwritten notebooks in the form of dairies, which revealed macabre details about the puzzling deaths. He allegedly told the family that his father was giving him instructions to achieve salvation for the family. The police investigation revealed several things related to the Burari family hanging which were beyond imagination and would shake the conscience of most. New Delhi: The Burari deaths case has baffled investigators since they came across the dead bodies of 11 members of a Delhi family hanging in what appeared to be a mass suicide or murders. In the latest development, a new CCTV footage showed Lalit Bhatia, youngest son of Narayan Devi aged 77 , at a mobile phone shop on the day the crime occurred. According to police, he is the suspected mastermind of the crime and might have influenced the family to agree to do his bidding. Lalit Bhatia was at a mobile phone store near his house in Gali No. It can be seen in the CCTV footage that he went into the shop and gave the shopkeeper some money for what would have been the last transaction the Bhatia family ever made. Ten hours later, Lalit and ten of his family members allegedly committed suicide. The mystery shrouding the murders left not just the neighbours but also the crime branch investigators equally baffled. However, nothing is concrete yet and the crime branch investigation team was back at the Bhatia residence in Burari to hunt for more forensic and circumstantial evidence.
