As of today, Bundaberg Distillery holds a cemented foot in the Australian liquor industry, specializing in Rum production. The Distillery is the brainchild of seven Queenslanders who realized the potential of the Bundaberg region in growing canes, and utilizing the production in making Rum, which back in , was significantly used in making cakes. The Distillery was established with an initial workforce of five men. Though Rum was already quite popular among Australians, the taste was dull and vague, which opened a massive door of opportunities for the brand to dominate the market. Thus, the establishment of the Distillery in was the stepping stone of revolutionizing the Rum market in Australia. Though the beginnings were humble, the achievements that the distillery set within one operational year, were exemplary.
