Ok I'm wondering if the 1st Gen Jump Seats are legal to use on the road? I live in Colorado, I'm sure I would be fine using them off road. I want to know if anyone has ever gotten a ticket on the street. Let me know your thoughts. Check with local LE.

Sadly, this BRAT is one year away from having had the famous third-eye passing light, better known as the Cyclops light. The interior is in rough shape, as a lot of vintage Subarus are. Subaru got around this by adding — 2 — jump seats in the bed of the BRAT so they could be classified as passenger cars instead of trucks. The jump seats went away in the US after and a lot of insurance companies make BRAT owners sign a form promising to never let anyone ride in those jump seats. For the record, this example does come with the jump seats. The third eye was only available for the model years. Ok, there should be a 4 here: the legendary spare tire mounted above the engine.
