While the legend assumes that the Goron died from the fall and became the Boom-Bam Ghost of Tabantha Great Bridge, in reality the Goron survived the fall thanks to his miner's hard hat and him rolling down into the canyon after. The Goron Modar found himself in the canyon below the bridge and set up camp there. When Link discovers the course, Modar offers to let Link play for free. The objective is for Link to hit the ball into the hole with as few strokes as possible. A stroke is counted every time the ball moves.

Mirro Shaz shrine sees Link step onto the Links for a spot of golf. You enter Mirro Shaz on a ledge overlooking the main puzzle. Turn right and climb on the moving platform or glide down if you want to move more quickly to access it. If you cast your mind back to the shrines on the Great Plateau, you may recall that one of your runes — Stasis — allows you to freeze objects. Still stuck? Once the orb sails into the socket, the wall on the left side of the room rises and reveals a second puzzle. Link should be standing straight on, with his toes pointing through the orb to the socket. The answer is to hit the orb five and a half times. Which is to say, hit the orb five times with the hammer, then switch to a one-handed sword for one last whack. This said, if your orb does seem to be homing in on that pesky pillar, try placing the orb slightly to the left of the starting pedestal to see if this helps out. Modar invented the game recently after he rolled down a hill, making him the first and only one to play it. When Link first speaks to Modar , he recognizes that Link is tough and asks if he would like to play a round of Boom Bam Golf. While Modar suggests using two-handed Weapons to send the Ball flying, he reminds Link not to overdo it. Unfortunately, if Link hits the Ball off of the Tanagar Canyon Course , he will be forced to take a one-stroke penalty and continue from his previous location.
Breath of the Wild. For 20 Rupees , Link can play the game. The goal is to try and get the ball in the hole by the flag pole in as few hits as possible. Link will need to use Stasis to freeze the ball, before then hitting it with weapons. Two-handed weapons - such as the Iron Sledgehammers found right by the Goron - are the way to go, as they will launch the ball the furthest. Swords and other one-handed weapons are better used for shorter distances. The course is pretty set and if at anytime the ball rolls off the course, Link will be penalized by one-stroke and the ball will be placed back at its previous location. It is not possible to hit a hole in one, or even to make it in within two shots, without cheating. However, there are methods that Link can use to make a shot in a single hit.
