Quilboar builds got significantly more interesting with the release of Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 4.
Patch Battlegrounds Season 4 is headlined by the new Rock Master Voone Hero, the new Venomous keyword, and a massive minion remix to Battlegrounds! Any hero that only lists one Armor amount has that same Armor at all levels of play. Poisonous has been removed from Battlegrounds. A new Battlegrounds keyword, Venomous, will take its place! Venomous is like Poisonous except that only the first minion that is damaged by a Venomous minion each combat is instantly destroyed.

Dev Comment: The Standard meta is in a good spot right now, with a lot of competitive options across most classes. We considered a handful of other cards that could have gotten small adjustments, but decided that it would be better to let this meta play out for a while. Dev Comment: Part of the Twist Beta is exploring our own design objectives when it comes to the mode. The whole premise of the mode is that there are quickly updating formats already built into it, so balance changes might not be as necessary to keep things fresh. However, we are still able to make card bans when we think they make the format better. The four cards mentioned above Standard and Twist will be eligible for a full dust refund for two weeks following Patch Patch Hearthstone Updates Standard Card Update Dev Comment: The Standard meta is in a good spot right now, with a lot of competitive options across most classes. After you upgrade the Tavern, choose an improvement! King Mukla No text update. Aranna Starseeker Old: After 16 friendly minions attack, the first minion you buy each turn is free. New: After 14 friendly minions attack, the first minion you buy each turn is free.
Cyborg Drake Old: 2 Attack, 10 Health.
These different compositions are meant to display proven setups to strive for, for the very end game top 4 and above. In general one of the seven slots will be the 'flex' spot, used to cycle new minions during the tavern rounds. Therefore, your actual board will rarely be as perfect as these listed here. Of course as many minions as possible should be tripled the exception being minions with Divine Shield or Venomous and buffed with Reborn, Venomous, Divine Shield or Taunt. If you got a build that buffs multiple minions via Rock Rock , Nalaa the Redeemer , or The Walking Fort , the ideal cards you should be looking for should have a special effect such as Cleave or Divine Shield. But in general, just buff any card. Don't roll for the ideal, it can cost you the game to desperately try to find them.
Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 4 is now live, and it promises to stir up the game like never before with an overhaul to the minion roster, keyword changes, and more. Your tried-and-true minion compositions might play differently from now on, with some of their aspects being reinforced, and others being expunged. The Poisonous keyword is no more — but it also lives on in a different form. Voone is a new hero with a passive hero power that gives you a ton of value — as long as you remember to hold the correct cards in your hand. This seems like a strong hero power, well worth trying. Buddies are being removed from the game again, which will make some players cry and others rejoice. The Poisonous keyword is being replaced by Venomous , which has the same effect — if you damage a minion, you kill it — but only triggers once per combat. Venomous is more in line with other strong keywords like Divine Shield and Reborn, which only work once per combat as well. This change alone should greatly affect the game, and make Murlocs, specifically, have to rely more on their buffing effects.

Dev Comment: Pure Paladin has been a strong deck for a while now. Purator is the best card in the best deck, by every measure, so it was an easy target for change. We expect it to still see play after getting toned down a little. Dev Comment: Statistically, Pozzik is the highest winrate neutral legendary in the game and has been criminally underplayed. As we saw more and more decks trying the card, it became clear it could use a little nudge. Dev Comment: Crimson Clergy is a key enabler in a combo deck with play patterns beyond what we want for the format. The above craftable cards will be eligible for a full dust refund for two weeks following Patch Dev Comment: These mini-set cards were the ones that had the most room for adjustment. Patch

Mega-Windfury has also been removed from Battlegrounds. With Bristlebach, you can re-trigger the effect over and over again in combat, creating a similar effect to Deflect-o-Bot, a Mech minion that regains its Divine Shield whenever you summon a Mech. Quilboar builds got significantly more interesting with the release of Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 4. Using Rylak Metalhead, which triggers the Battlecries of adjacent minions when it dies, along with Brann Bronzebeard or Titus Rivendare, and your Blood Gems will be giving a staggering amount of health, stretching into the triple digits. Prickly Piper can also be used with Titus Rivendare to double its Deathrattle, increasing the speed at which your Blood Gems gain attack. The whole premise of the mode is that there are quickly updating formats already built into it, so balance changes might not be as necessary to keep things fresh. Minion types will be rolled out in phases for Season 4. This minion can triple with any Elemental. If building an ever-growing board of extremely angry hogs sounds appealing to you, here are the best Quilboar that were introduced in Battlegrounds' fourth season. Bristlebach, on the other hand, has Avenge, which means it triggers in combat. At the start of your turn, gain 1 extra Gold. However, having a consistent source of Magnetic minions is exceptionally valuable in a Mech build. Any Quilboar that generates Blood Gems is good, so don't think this is the only way to build this comp. The idea is to have your opponent hit your taunted Tough Tusk and attack their Divine Shield, but your minions keep dying, so they will regain their Divine Shield afterward.

Needs the availability of Beasts. Poisonous has been removed from Battlegrounds. Archlich Kel'Thuzad's ability will effectively remove Reborn from the minion it resurrects. At the end of every 3 turns, get another random Dragon. Patient Scout has been returned to the minion pool. It can also buff itself relatively easily if you can spare a few Magnetic minions to throw on it. Repeat for each other friendly Pirate. Battlecry: Discover a Demon and deal damage to your hero equal to its Tavern Tier. Battlecry and Deathrattle: Get a Blood Gem. Famished Felbat is the capstone minion for a Demon consumption build.
