BoBo in West Kirby has gone down a storm with local people since it opened last month, with more than 1, people going through the doors in the first 10 days. We visited on a Friday night, and it was good to see it was buzzing. Most tables were occupied and there was a lively, but not too noisy, vibe about the place. Our server patiently explained the menu options and gave us some guidance as to the number of dishes we should order, as we were keen to leave enough room for dessert. We started with the croquetas, which were really tasty — but be warned they are not very big and you only get two in a serving. They were accompanied by the Spanish fried chicken covered in Moorish spices with lime chilli butter, which gave them a bit of a kick, and the bacalhau salt cod fritters, which were absolutely delicious. On to the mains, and I had ordered the half chicken with lemon and garlic flavour, which comes with fries. It was a very generous portion, and I could not finish it. My wife opted for the house burger which she really enjoyed. All was fine as we both agreed afterwards that the mousse my choice was definitely the right decision!
