A Map of the Hidden Chest Locations. There are 19 maps that can be found in the single-player game and three maps that can be acquired through Kenway's Fleet. These maps will lead you to secret Buried Chests that will often have riches and Plans that you can use to unlock the elite upgrades to your ship weapons. Keep in mind that you must have the map for a treasure first before you can go dig up the chest. The maps can be found by looking at your in-game map. The chart below tells you where to go to find the map, then exactly where the Hidden Chest is, and, finally, what Plan is in each chest. You must have the map to be able to find the chest.

This chest has 4, Reales. The map points to Long Bay The chest is located on the very northern tip of Cumberland Bay.

Animus fragments are collectibles found on nearly every island and location in the game. There are Fragments scattered around. While sailing the seas, you may be given the option to look at a nearby island by pressing up on the D-pad, indicating that there is a collectible located on it. You can then stop the Jackdaw and swim to the island to collect the fragment. You must collect them all to complete Abstergo Challenges and as a reward 'Deceased Crew Cheat' will be unlocked for you. Most fragments are easily collected by running or jumping to them.

These treasure maps are located throughout the islands Edward Kenway explores in game. Note: If you want to find these buried chests, you will first need the corresponding treasure maps. The map for this chest is located on Santanillas , When swimming through a tunnel at Ambergris Key, you get to a chamber with ruins inside. It's a diving location, so you will need the Diving Bell first.

The buried chest is right by the shipwreck on Abaco Island , Complete Eastern Canada: Scarlatina to get the map. The map for this chest is located at Cumberland Bay , Find a cave on the island, and go all the way in to a dead end to find the chest. It contains the Aquila's Wheel plans and 3, Reales.
