I transformed this hallway closet bifold door into a barn door. In this post, I will show you how to makeover a double bifold door with a modern style. When we remodeled our master bathroom we also did a few updates to our master bedroom. We had a black hole of a wall on the south side of our bedroom. He gets his own closet and I get him out of the master closet. A win-win for both.

This summer, our pantry door turned out to be the perfect candidate for a bi-fold louvered door makeover! When we moved in, there were no closet doors in the whole house. After consulting a few helpful blogs around the internet, I came up with a plan to make these and it was honestly relatively easy! Hemlock Wood Screen Moulding to cover the louver holes. Paintable Caulk. Wood Filler. Pine Primed Finger-Jointed Casing for the outside of the door frame. Pine Stop Moulding for the inside of the door frame. Electric sander and sandpaper. Circular saw or jig saw to cut and loosen louvers. Nail gun. Staple gun. Because I could only find a door that was already white and knew I wanted to paint it a dark color, it made this step really crucial.
