Sure it's a scene, but it's so approachable. Cool Italia doesn't take itself or its Europop backing track too seriously, speedy service simply adding to the buzz. Breads pulled from the wood-fired oven are a standout. Ditto those sage anchovy flavour explosions from the fritti section. Hit the antipasti hard, then round it out with something from the grill; perhaps a butterflied blue mackerel fillet slathered with herby salmoriglio. Or pile into house-made pasta. The paccheri al pomodoro is a signature. Dolce should not be snubbed. There's room in everyone's life for a retro lemon sorbet enchantingly served in its skin over ice. Baskets of blissfully chewy sourdough and focaccia are passed around readily at Bianca Bakery, unloaded like currency soon going out of circulation. You eat them with a slug of butter, surrounded by beautiful people in designer sunglasses, on a quadrant of land that was once an abandoned railroad yard. The restaurant deals in straightforward luxuries: chocolate croissants precision-engineered with butter; pasta sauced with rough-chopped basil pesto; and perfect sourdough boules with crusty shells and soft, chewy middles. The first thing you see is the long bakery case, abutted by a small exhibition kitchen where there is sometimes a baker on duty lifting and shaping lumps of dough destined to become crusty baguettes, crisp ciabatta, round country loaves or sometimes fougasse, the lean, herby French flatbread. There are a few pastries behind the counter that are not common around these parts: the nutty baked brioche slice called bostock, made here with pistachios instead of the more common almond, and mini-alfajores, Argentine shortbread sandwich cookies that crumble elegantly at first bite.

What a treat on Washington Blvd! The restaurant has a pleasant outdoor patio in addition to inside dining. The menu offers a delightful blend of Italian, French and Argentinian influenced dishes. With its own bakery adjoining the main seating area, the artisan bread collection comes We ordered the bread basket with assorted breads, and in one word or less, yum! For dinner, we ordered the branzino with vegetables and roasted potatoes in addition to the Chilean sea bass with ratatouille.
