Best sinnoh pokemon team

Generation Four of the Pokemon series did a fantastic job of bringing the average gamer into the world of competitive matches through the online battling system.

By Grisaia January 28, in General Discussion. Coming back to the game once again now that a new region is released. As usual, I like to use my own "starters" for the story, and I'll level up my 6 pokemon so my journey will be more fun and immersive. So, I'd like some suggestions to make my experience with Sinnoh more fun and interesting - I never played Platinum before. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. I have covered Kanto, Johto and Hoenn in previous posts so make sure you check those out so you see my teams for those Regions! By the time Gen 4 released I was in my Sophomore year I believe and well there were other interests in my mind, I was playing sports for the school, hanging out with friends, thinking about crushes, etc But Gen 4 came out and re ignited my interest for Pokemon. In all honesty I have only played through Sinnoh maybe a top amount of 8 times, and about 5 of those being recently as an adult. But the the first team I had through Sinnoh in my first play through will always be my favorite. As I was a teen I knew how to play the games by then, and not only could I build a powerful team with the Pokemon with the best designs, I could also make it balanced and a force to be reckoned with. I began my journey with Chimchar just because like I said, I was a teen and I wanted the coolest looking of the 3 starters on my team. Now that Im an adult my favorite Sinnoh starter is Empoleon but Infernape holds a special place in my heart because hes not only cool but a powerhouse! My second favorite regional bird Pokemon behind Talonflame. Staraptor just has a killer design! This thing is so cool and that name is equally amazing.

But Gen 4 came out and re ignited my interest for Pokemon. That ensures a high-powered Magma Storm, alongside Earth Power for coverage, Toxic for chip damage, and Taunt best sinnoh pokemon team keep set-up sweepers honest. Shinx is my favorite Electric type Pokemon ever!

Generation Four is a favorite among many a Pokemon fan, and for good reason. Many of the Sinnoh region's Pokemon have become iconic for one reason or another, but how well have they fared in the competitive space? Spoiler alert: they've done pretty damn well for themselves in that department, too. Not only do Sinnoh Pokemon have a strong presence in the premier OverUsed tier, but some of the more dominant forces in lower tiers also tend to be from this region. At least in the current-day meta, the 15 Pokemon listed below represent Sinnoh to the fullest and do their region proud. The ever-popular Lucario is a premier offensive Pokemon in its tier, thanks to its high mixed attacking stats and wide movepool.

With a typing that is weak to unpopular types, especially in this format, and its defensive stats Cresselia can be a fantastic core to any team. Use it to pivot out of an unfavorable match up and simply outlast your opponent.

As usual, I like to use my own "starters" for the story, and I'll level up my 6 pokemon so my journey will be more fun and immersive. Its defensive potential isn't shabby either, with the Ice and Fairy types being its most glaring weaknesses. I began my journey with Chimchar just because like I said, I was a teen and I wanted the coolest looking of the 3 starters on my team. Go to topic listing. Both abilities Bronzong gets, Heatproof and Levitate, help it ignore weakness in essence too. Another Pokemon you should consider to round out your Generation Four team is Gliscor. Still, its offensive capabilities are a force to be reckoned with in its tier, with Nasty Plot as a suitable set-up move and coverage moves galore in its learnset. It also has access to Recover, giving it some much-needed longevity, and moves like Toxic and Clear Smog provide good support. Great Pokemon like Skarmory, Bronzong, Empoleon, and even Jirachi fall victim to this sentient magnet, not being able to escape or hit back in a meaningful way. Its STAB combination is nigh unstoppable, with Extreme Speed being an excellent finishing blow, and its access to Swords Dance enhances its potential further. Neither are immediate attacking threats, but both play great in either defensive pivot or set-up wallbreaker roles.

Despite not having its Hidden Ability Iron Fist in Generation Four, Infernape manages to be among the best attackers thanks to great stats and endless versatility. Archiver Posted January 28, Grisaia Posted January 28, Its Earth Power doesn't pack a huge punch, but it's a good blanket check to some of the stronger Pokemon in its tier, especially when paired with good coverage like Scald or Ice Beam. Still, its offensive capabilities are a force to be reckoned with in its tier, with Nasty Plot as a suitable set-up move and coverage moves galore in its learnset. Another nice move is Ice Fang for coverage, and Knock Off is nice for throwing offensive fighters off their game by removing their items. Bronzong is a prime example of both of these roles, which are necessary for any balanced team. That said, it's not an offensive powerhouse by any means, and there are a lot of Grass types in its tier. The key to Empoleon is to remove its major threats early in the game, such as Roar and Whirlwind users meant to disrupt Substitute. Earthquake is then used to punish the opponent. Once your health drops below one-fourth, Petaya Berry kicks in, providing even more of a speed boost. Hope You Like It.
