Best burn commander
Magic: the Gathering.
Burn is one of the most quintessentially red archetypes in Magic: The Gathering. It's about targeting your opponent's life totals above all else, with the aim of burning your enemies to the ground before they have the chance to take you out. While burn isn't nearly as popular in Commander as other constructed formats, quality burn commanders continue to be released year after year. There's never been a better time to start playing with burn in the format. The power of your deck is greatly dependent on the abilities of your commander, and these burn commanders all come with unique abilities to take down your opponents. Updated December 13, , by Ryan Hay: There's only so much burn your opponents can handle before they throw in the towel and with these Commanders, you can pick up the pace to burn them out a little faster than usual. Among these commanders are a new powerhouse, Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, who is quickly taking the stop spot for best burn commanders in Magic.

Magic: the Gathering. In this Commander article, we talk about Magic's most popular archetype, Burn! By Pedro Braga. Many strategies present in conventional tournament formats don't match well with the ones we have in EDH. Sometimes strategies in this wonderful format are too slow for what we are presented with at the tournament tables.
Best burn commander
Hello everyone! Welcome to another installment of BathroomBrews. For this week's deck tech, I wanted to provide you lovely people with a budget brew of one of the most popular commanders from The Lost Caverns of Ixalan : Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might. Let's find out if Axonil is the best mono-red burn commander or just another flash in the pan! The deck is pretty simple: 36 Dragon's Approach and some Dragons. See you next week! Instead, I went with a more traditional mono-red burn deck with some specific inclusions to buff Axonil's power. Runechanter's Pike and Glamdring buff Axonil as we burn out the table, and Glamdring has the added benefit of allowing us to cast spells from our graveyard if we deal combat damage.

Honorable Mention — Toralf, God of Fury. There's a super easy two-card combo with Ob Nixilis and All Will Be One that lets you just win the game as soon as any opponent loses exactly one life. Here we have a very interesting commander. And yes, Toralf player, I know that all you are waiting for is resolving a Blasphemous Act. Firesong and Sunspeaker is the type of card that isn't worth it in conventional formats, due to its six mana cost, but in Commander it can be a serious threat and cause the entire table to focus on it, becoming an excellent Burn Commander. Cards like Ash Zealot, which deals three damage to an opponent if they cast a spell from a graveyard, now deal punishing five damage to them. As for some very interesting examples, we have first Heartless Hidetsugu that can easily end the game for any player with even life totals, and leave those with odd life totals with only 1 life remaining. It's about targeting your opponent's life totals above all else, with the aim of burning your enemies to the ground before they have the chance to take you out. Aegar's low mana value makes this ability easy to access, too, giving it an edge over many of the more expensive damage-based red commanders. The best thing you can do with Imodane is modify the damage your burn spells do to maximize the amount of damage you spread across the table.

Cards like Fiery Emancipation and Torbran, Thane of Red Fell both up the amount of damage you're dealing, giving your burn spells a boost in power, which in turn also multiplies the amount of damage done to players once that spell resolves. Ghyrson comes down early at only three mana and protects itself with ward two, taxing your opponents for two extra mana if they want to remove it. Gisela, Blade of Goldnight has the most powerful effect of any card on this list. But we can still do something else with Boros colors…. But if you're not looking to go infinite and just want some good value, cards like Orcish Bowmasters, Electrostatic Field, and Grapeshot all help dig through your deck and deals a ton of damage at the same time. The red god of New Phyrexia has quickly catapulted itself to the top as one of the best Burn commanders in Magic. Allowing us to take a more tribal approach, with the use of giants and wizards, Aegar, the Freezing Flame allows you to play a little more when developing your Burn deck while covering one of the archetype's biggest difficulties, the base number of cards drawn. There's never been a better time to start playing with burn in the format. Despite Neheb, The Eternal's burn effect being secondary to its mana-generating ability, it's still a great way to pick at your opponents as you ramp your way to more substantial damage. Firesong and Sunspeaker is the type of card that isn't worth it in conventional formats, due to its six mana cost, but in Commander it can be a serious threat and cause the entire table to focus on it, becoming an excellent Burn Commander. Thinking about them, I made this list that seeks to avoid the greatest weakness of the archetype and build something solid on top of it. Obosh, The Preypiercer is a constantly overlooked commander. Dealing excess damage is the most on-brand red mechanic ever, and rewarding you with Red mana for doing it adds much-needed red mana ramp in an archetype that often struggles to include it. These burn commanders come with unique abilities that enhance your deck's power and allow you to take down your opponents faster. Neheb's mana ability is especially great in decks with a Dragon tribal subtheme, as the huge damage that the Dragons output produces enough mana to cast even more massive Dragons.
I am assured, what is it already was discussed, use search in a forum.
