I've been going to Basho as a regular since but left the province in April I was there the evening of December 30th for dinner. Outside of the chef's amazing specials, the menu has the same awesome dishes since I've been going there That sounds like there is going to be a criticism coming It all works unbelievably well. I love familiarity as much as new things. Basho is consistently consistent in terms of a great menu, great dining and great atmosphere classy but not pretentious.

The Ambience of the Restaurant is very good and the lake view adds to it. The food is also great. The service is excellent. If you should do try Poha for breakfast it is uniquely prepared.

I must honestly say what a useless system they have, wasting my time talking with the answering machine back and forth and talking with a real person who shouldn't have been there to answer basho restaurant menu phone as he doesn't know how to speak nicely to customer on the phone, so rude and arogan.

That said, the server was great and did take that off my bill. Every place has an off night and I will try again, but probably the steak next time.
