B arclays have been praised by local politicians after it opened a new "local site" in a town to replace a branch it recently closed, barclays prudhoe.

Barclays has announced it will be closing its Haltwhistle and Prudhoe branches later in the year. The announcement comes from noticing the declining use of transactions taking place inside a branch. The Haltwhistle branch will be closing on Friday, August 11 whereas the Prudhoe will be shut a few days later on Friday, August Customers will receive a letter, a decision to close document and there will also posters displayed in branch, as well as colleagues on hand to assist customers with any concerns they may have.
