Inbalon pilotlari, daredevil balloon pilot Amelia Wren teams up with pioneering meteorologist James Glaisher to advance human knowledge of the weather and fly higher than anyone in history. While breaking records and advancing scientific phlebotomy salary, their voyage to the very edge of existence helps the unlikely pair find their balon pilotlari in the world they have left far below them. But they face physical and emotional challenges in the thin air, as the ascent becomes a fight for survival.
The Aeronauts is a biographical adventure film directed by Tom Harper and written by Jack Thorne , from a story co-written by Thorne and Harper. The film had its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival on 30 August , followed by a showing at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film received mostly positive reviews from critics. In London , pilot Amelia Wren and scientist James Glaisher arrive for the launch of the largest balloon ever constructed. In a flashback, James appears before the Royal Society and explains his theory that the weather can be predicted but his fellow scientists mock him and refuse to finance his studies. Returning home, he talks to his parents, who try to persuade him to pursue another avenue of science. On the balloon, James and Amelia start rising through the cloud layer.
