However, this form is completely vulnerable to any incoming attacks when shot at directly in the suit rather than at the Arms that is descending down on the Rider. Gaim is distinct among the Armored Riders in that he is equipped with a Lockseed Holder on the right side of his Sengoku Driver , which is used to carry his first three Lockseeds Orange, Pine, and Ichigo. He is also one of only a select few Armored Riders who are defaultly equipped with a Musou Saber side weapon, which is held on the left side of his Sengoku Driver with a holster. In the case of Gaim, it has been shown that certain Arms which are particularly unique and powerful can make minor modifications to the Ride Wear as part of the Arms Change. If Gaim activates his Sengoku Driver's Sparking function, he can temporarily convert the Orange Armor Part into its fruit form and spin it to use as a shield for bouncing off enemy attacks. This form is Gaim's most balanced form. Because of that, Gaim often uses this form, due to it not suffering from any significantly statistic power up or down.

Armored rider gaim

He was originally the second-in-command of Team Gaim before quitting the team to pursue odd jobs and help his older sister, Akira , after their parents died, before eventually getting a job at Drupers. However, his life is changed after Team Gaim's leader Yuya Sumii arranges a meeting with Kota to show him something that could help their team. This leads Kota to search for Sumii in what he later learns is the Helheim Forest, finding a Sengoku Driver that his friend bought from the mysterious Lockseed Dealer Sid , and an Inves that Kota manages to destroy via the Driver and a Lockseed. While figuring out how best to use his newly acquired powers, Kota witnesses his rival, Kaito Kumon's, summoned Inves go on a rampage and becomes determined to protect people as the samurai -themed Kamen Rider Gaim. After he rejoins Team Gaim in the apparently missing Sumii's stead, Kota inspires others to become Armored Riders themselves. In the middle of the series, Kota continues his fight towards the corrupt Yggdrasil Corporation after discovering the company's shady attempts at covering up the Inves attacks with the Beat Riders being scapegoated as a result. Kota then obtains Kiwami Arms to oppose the Overlord Inves' invasion on Earth and eventually duels against Kaito in the final battle to obtain the Forbidden Fruit. With Kota emerges as the victor, he ascends to the title of Man of the Beginning, removing Helheim's influence on Earth to another planet as their new ruler alongside Mai. As a result, Kaito grew up in a poor household, his father became abusive towards him and his mother, and both of his parents eventually committed suicide, leading to the orphaned Kumon falling into the Takatsukasa family's care. This childhood cemented a survival of the fittest-like mentality in his later years and fostered a personal desire to acquire power for himself as he believes he cannot trust anyone else. When Yggdrasil made their move to turn the Beat Riders as scapegoats, Kaito retires from Team Baron and put Zack as his replacement leader while he launches his fight against the company as an independent Armored Rider.

Eventually, when Kota confronts Takatora as he becomes a New Generation Armored Rider alongside the Armored Rider development scientist Ryoma Sengoku as Duke, his aide Yoko Minato as Marika, and the Lockseed Dealer Sid as Sigurd, he learns the horrible truth of Helheim Forest: that it was home to a once-prosperous civilization that was eradicated by the strange plants growing throughout it, as anyone who consumed the fruit of these plants is turned into an Inves. Finding an ally in DJ Sagara, a pirate radio DJ who knows more than he is letting on such as the intelligent Overlord Inves, Kota finds himself in the middle of a Sengoku period -like brawl among various factions for the right to possess the power of Helheim Forest—the proverbial forbidden fruit itself—and the fate of life on Earth as he knows it. But while adamant to obtain the Golden Fruit to save the world, Kota notices the disastrous news from Oren and Hideyasu that Kaito transforms into his monstrous form and goes insane. His main objective is to use the fruit's power to shatter the status quo of the world before Kota stops his rampage. After Kota successfully stops Kaito's reign and leaves with Mai to another planet, Mitsuzane and the others face off against Kota's old enemy, Kogane.
