So I've noticed that when playing on my unmodded, unofficial server, that beacon loot has gotten pretty horrid. Even the higher level beacons all I'm getting are things like compass blueprints and flashlight attachments and other stuff that is stacking up in the multiples, ark spawn beacon.
When you jump into a server on ARK: Survival Evolved you will notice beams of light that shine into the sky everywhere you travel across the map. These can be indicative of either a Beacon or an Obelisk, but what is the difference between them? They share some qualities, but otherwise are very different from one another in terms of their uses. These strange areas perform different tasks and if you want to take your gameplay to the next level then you should understand how to properly utilize them. Beacons and Obelisks are an important part of ARK: Survival Evolved and knowing what they are will put you one step closer to being a Grade A survivor!

Anyone know how to make an item, once used, spawn a supply drop in the location it was used? If so, you have completed my life. I would like to create a custom smoke grenade and once throw, a supply crate will spawn or deploy a supply drop as normally would. Still looking to learn how to do this. Any help, lessons, handouts is appreciated. Create a copy of the Gas Grenade. It references the projectile, create a copy of that as well. For the sake of this example, I used blue, cyan, and purple. Inside the new projectile you just made via copying, go into the graph editor. Add your actor spawning logic there.

Normal drops, cave crates, boss loot, beaver dams… whatever you want to change. Plus support for custom loot drops, such as those provided by mod maps or not officially supported by Ark. Plus, Beacon has support for an additional unofficial loot drops, such as the Orbital Supply Drop events and creature inventories.

I also wondered if the original dinos Troodon, Microraptor, Pegomastax and Ichtyornis were just somewhat rare enough that I need to wait longer.
