We are so fortunate that we found AoPS Academy. View Course. With a hands-on, experimental approach, they study the fundamentals of Newtonian mechanics: motion, forces, and energy. Each quarter, students engage with high-level texts to increase comprehension, and address authentic scenarios that cultivate problem-solving skills and hone each student's development of purposeful, quality writing. The course has four units: critical thinking and communication, creative writing and language, research, and literary studies. Ages: 10— Summer Language Arts Grades 3—10 Students put their creative and analytical skills to the test with Language Arts enrichment camps designed to enhance reading, writing, and persuasive speaking skills Ages: 8— In this fun and energetic course, students build important reading and writing skills as they work to create their very own picture books! Writing Camp Creative Writing Creative Writing is designed for students entering 3rd or 4th grade in the fall. They will expand their understanding of the number system and place value, develop fluency adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers, and explore the properties of special types of numbers such as odds and evens. Calculus Our calculus class goes well beyond mechanics and calculators, and provides students a rigorous understanding of the fundamental operations of calculus, delivering a first-year calculus course like those students would find at a top-tier university. Students completing our calculus course will be in an excellent position to apply their new skills to physics, economics, engineering, and more advanced mathematics. In this fast-paced and immersive course, students will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hone their writing and problem-solving skills in order to puzzle out and reconstruct a long-lost myth from only its literary and archaeological remains.
