Here is my reasoning: In the last three games FNAF 1, 2 and 3, we were up against possessed AI, given their behaviour and the various clues left behind in newspaper clippings and 8-bit cut scenes which pointed to that conclusion which is now a common belief among FNAF fans. FNAF 4 is different with the Nightmares being the crying child twisted interpretations of his bullies having being born in his subconscious resulting from the trauma he suffered in the bite of Yet the Funtimes stand out from the rest, especially Circus Baby. Firstly they are capable of speech and some of the things they say would not be part of their basic programing. Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location is a point-and-click survival horror video game developed and published by Scott Cawthon. It is the fifth main installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's series and the sixth game overall. It was released on Steam on October 7, As the title implies, the game does not take place at one of the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurants featured in previous installments, but instead at a sister location called Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental, which features its own set of animatronic characters, central to which is the titular Circus Baby. Players control a new employee who must perform maintenance work at the facility where the animatronics are stored while defending themselves from the animatronics, which become mobile and homicidal at night. Gameplay in Sister Location is drastically different from previous Five Nights at Freddy's games, as it allows players to move between rooms and requires different objectives to be carried out from night to night.

Funtime Freddy is one of the seven animatronics in Sister Location. He is an entertainer in Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rentals. Funtime Freddy was created by Afton Robotics , more specifically William Afton , supposedly to entertain children, but was programmed to lure and kill children. Indeed he was fitted with a voice mimic and a storage tank in his stomach. It is possible at some point that Freddy did end up having a victim possessing him, or was injected with Remnant from Afton's previous victims. Funtime Freddy first appears in the Breaker Room on Night 2 of Michael Afton's shift, due to him having to restart the rentals facility's power manually. Funtime Freddy noticed that there was someone there, and began heading towards him. While Michael reboots the systems, he keeps Freddy at bay by playing the "mascot response audio", which is actually the Bonnie puppet " Bon Bon "'s voice. Freddy is implied to have attacked them, leaving the job for Michael. Funtime Freddy is powered down in Night 3 , appearing in the Parts and Service room, on a conveyor belt waiting to be taken to the Scooping Room and get "scooped".
