You will also need a set of small manipulatives for children to use to cover each letter of the alphabet in the maze. We used mini, wooden flower beads in the photo above and flower buttons in the image below. Alternatively, you could use clear gemstones, mini erasers, colorful buttons, plastic beads or balls of playdough. To complete an alphabet letter maze, the child starts by locating the letter A at the starting point of the individual maze. They cover the A with a gemstone, button, or whatever manipulative you are using. They then find the letter B alongside the A, then C, then D, etc, finding and covering each letter of the alphabet in order to move through the maze, all the way from A through to Z.

When I did my preschool letter of the week series, one of my kids favorite parts were the letter mazes. I decided I wanted to make another kind of alphabet letter maze. This time you follow the letters through the maze rather than mazes shaped like the letters. You can find the other lets mazes in my letter of the week bundles.
