The game had a tense start, with the Wolves down in the first quarter. While the game was back-and-forth throughout, they turned it around by halftime, and held tightly to a lead. Despite the close start by the currently undefeated team, fans were undeterred by the tight game. From the halfway point onwards the game was intense, with two-way gameplay and strong defence from the Wolves. The team credits this victory to their strength in their defensive game. Coach Jaime McLean was pleased with the results, as well as the performance awards some athletes received for their work during the season. We want to prove ourselves. The East are not weak. Algonquin entered the final after a tough semifinal against St. Jordan had a stellar start to her OCAA career this past weekend. Sections Features. The team cruised to a 3 set win, thanks in large part to a big performance by Billaney. On Saturday October 15th, 15 continued her strong play and was a big part in the Wolves pulling off the upset win over the Durham Lords. Our Wolves volleyball teams played their final home games of the regular season this weekend. The team picked up a 2nd road win in as many days against the Colts, improving their record to on the year. The women's basketball team improved their undefeated record to this past weekend after taking down the Loyalist Lancers and St Lawrence Surge on back to back nights. The team with travel to George Brown and Centennial this weekend to close out the regular season. It was a slow week for our our teams, so we are throwing it back to a strong week 2 performance by Sydney Seymour from our women's Rugby team.
