Any repetition of the problem? Today went back out to the car and read the codes. Go for a long run miles plus and it may start working. But since I did not do anything to my car, I doubt any of those ideas will work. No check engine or other major warnings, but I do get the lane departure warning isn't working and auto high beam isn't working every now and then. No problem before the service, warning on when I got the car back from the dealer. If you're planning on keeping this for more than a year or two I'd seriously consider replacing the DPF; but if you go for a decent quality aftermarket part, it likely won't be cheap. So while I was sitting at the dentist office, I flipped to this forum, did a quick search. Lots of previous threads on this, more often than not it clears itself and is not a massive issue. Thanks so much for the suggestion! The gas cap being off was the source of the Check Engine code. Keep it close. I'll post then what I learn from the Alfa service advisor. Let us know how it works. So cleared the DTC and went for a blast! Replies 2 Views 1K. In any event, just wanted to let people know that this issue did eventually resolve itself. Same situation after sitting overnight. All was well for a while then the P code came back Without the gas cap being touched or gasoline added , this of course disabled remote start and auto stop-start. Went out to the car to investigate.
