I got Akarius pretty soon after release, and only got Acceltra last month. Coincidentally, I finally leveled it today. What worked for me was a casual approach. I stopped farming for Acceltra early on, and would just run the disruption occasionally, when it sounded fun apart from the potential drop.

The Acceltra is one of the signature weapons of Gauss Akarius being the other and was introduced when he came to the game. This weapon fires off mini-rockets as projectiles which will explode on impact after travelling at least 7 meters. Its ability to rapidly release these mini-rockets with a high critical chance makes it easy to dispatch large numbers of enemies. Running will cause the weapon to reload faster and even more so if Gauss is wielding it. You will need to play the mission through in order to kill Demolysts Demolishers Amalgams. The Demolysts in this mission have a chance to drop the Acceltra Blueprint when they are killed.

You can either opt for rapid rocket bursts or slower, high-critical damage explosions. This Acceltra build transforms the weapon into a high burst Slash damage rifle. Primed Cryo Rounds and Infected Clip add Viral damage, further amplifying the damage taken by opponents. In essence, this build morphs Acceltra into a Slash damage powerhouse, maximizing damage through its rocket explosions. This late-game Acceltra build relies on Galvanized Mods and the Primary Merciless Arcane for even more damage than the new player build. The catch here is that you need to keep kills rolling to maintain the Galvanized mods buneses and turn Acceltra into a nuke.
